It was a busy long day in office amidst our regular releases. Nevertheless it did not seem to be a long day for me. As I was driven out by the security, I boarded the cab with hundred thoughts of my project running in my mind. I settled a bit in the cab and turned on some music. A loud vibrant music from my favorite playlist started. I was surprised my phone still had 91% charge left. There were a number of missed calls and messages too. I then noticed there were few notifications from Facebook on my previous post. As I scrolled down the posts in FB, this caught my mind:
Love is life and if you miss love, you miss life! Where there is love, there is life!
A friend of mine had shared this. At this very moment, my mind seemed to deviate from my project details towards this quote. Love, love, love! I smiled. I remember being a teenager when there were a few couple in my class ten. I remember the blush on their faces when they fondly talk to each other. College days – quite a number of couple who repeated the same as in school. These couples would always have higher energies and excited while the other students shout at the guy’s name while the girl passes by and vice versa. They just enacted to hate these yells but the smile on their faces after walking a few yards showed they enjoyed it!
At work, it was quite different. There was more practicality and maturity seen in couple. But beyond that there was an extreme sense of happiness seen on their faces. I had seen such couple in all stages and ages! I still remember the days when I was engaged and had butterflies flying within me when I spoke to my fiance. I still remember the long hours of conversation which we had. We shared our thoughts, experiences at college, office, lovely moments, our future, and the list kept growing day by day. I was the first married woman in the gang of 5 women at my work. My friends always spoke about their fiances with vibrant energies. There was hardly any complaints or sad situations we discussed about. The one thing we complained about was our work at times, especially about PBC reviews (appraisal reviews at my company).
There were times we cursed our work being hectic or stressful too. But never tried to reason out why! Maybe our work was boring, not fun anymore and we were engrossed in relationship talks! What was that which brought out our energy levels, happiness when we spoke about our relationship and what was that which made us feel boring when we spoke about work? After traveling with the time machine, my mind entered 21st December 2016.
Well, we all know “Love is blind”. In the beginning when you meet someone, they may not be of interest to you. You may simply hate them for no reason. But eventually when you’re in love with such a person, you are so excited because your mind revolves around all the positives of your partner. At times when you know their negatives, your mind would transform them into positives too. Hence you are overwhelmed meeting them, talking to them, spending time and money for them. It’s the same at work – no difference! When a work is boring or no longer of our interest, our mind still has the power to transform it into an interesting topic. Under such circumstances, a long day at work is never stressful. Even after spending 12 hours at work, you would still feel energized wanting to spend more time or would even end up writing a blog after 10 pm 😉 Eventually you start enjoying even the job that you might have felt stressful in the past! You start living by it.
Waiting at the temple queue for one hour, waiting at an ATM for half an hour, waiting for a bus for 15 minutes would not seem longer if you view this as an experience!
Of course, this may not be your final destiny. But then it is a matter of choice whether you want to enjoy what you’re doing and keeping you positively charged or if you’d like to create a negativity around you cribbing and asking yourself if you’re doing the right job. A friend of mine told rightly “Either stop working or don’t complain!” How true it is! Why do I need to complain if I didn’t like something I was doing? It’s my choice to either do it or drop it, isn’t it? Rather than complaining, I could still look at the challenges and enjoy doing it!
Challenge the challenge that challenges you!
Your mind has the power to transform every stressful moment into a great experience. Train your mind to madly be in love with every situation in life! When you’re madly in love, you’re blind. Of course being blind towards negativity is always a blessing! While being in love with someone can bring you much happiness, can’t being in love with every moment, everything you do bring in endless joy and blessing in life?
I am madly in love and this energy makes me write even after a 12 hour at work! Come what may, I create my destiny!
