9 degrees – My phone display appeared bright. “Must be quite ok” I told myself as I walked. 7:15 pm and the roads already seemed to sleep. The dull headed sky was painted black. “You’re not alone” the wind kissed me and the flowers smiled at me. I was enjoying the calmness around.
Cars seemed to be tired and were resting across the streets. “No more zooming; I’m done for the day” even the mightier ones whispered. Shops stood still with no one around. “I’m in for the night life” reminded few bars and restaurants stretching their arms for customers.

“A single man – tall and lonely; surrounded by trees;” I looked into his eyes and didn’t understand what he means.
I walked further down the street. Strange lights around. Paired lights where one is switched off and the other is on. “He is broad minded illuminating the other when in need! He spreads his light on her to bring her back brightly! He must be a good friend” I smiled and thanked.

A bike that looks daring and bold yet resting now. “Well, he’s worked enough and needs a break too”; Another gorgeous cycle smiling at me. Completely at rest, secured fully and locked inside a safe zone. “Which one do I choose?” “Reminds me of times I needed a break but not a full break that brings in an idle state!

“Cute little toys smiling brightly at me; they have a high value too; yet caged and waiting for some hands to free them up”. “Cheap priced dresses and toys! How can this be?” – there I see a board reading “Second hand for sale” – “hmmm. At some point even the good ones go for a compromise to just move on; something is better than nothing”.

“Birds of a feather flock together – so does every creature” lovely grouped flowers happy by themselves. Doesn’t mean they don’t like the others but just convenient being in their groups. However there were some angry too! As mean as they look or sound, they have tender petals and hearts too – “is that me?” I smiled.

As I crossed the road, something unusual struck my eyes. A tiny teeny mouse running around. There she was, picking little left over food to make her living. Her moves were fast and swift within a blink of the eye. Trying to capture her movements, I zoomed my camera. Anxious and determined was she. Her eyes seemed to express her fear. She wants to be quick and fast and looked around. She came near me and tried to pick a morsel. “Should I pick my morsel or will she stamp? Should I trust her or should I move? Should I get back to my safe zone with what I have or should I try for something new?” her mind voice was mine! She came one step ahead and one more and one more. She seemed to trust me completely and got comfortable. She came near me and understood I wouldn’t harm her. She picked what she wanted without fear. “I got my answer; thank you little one” I smiled.

I walked back towards my hotel. The single man whom I met appeared in front of me again! His bell seemed to ring loudly to break the silence. I turned back – “there he stood majestically – amidst the darkness of the night – amidst the broken trees – amidst the freezing cold” reminding me “Come what May – Stand strong”.

The serenity of the night had loud roars teaching me thousand lessons as I walked!
