5 am – Usual time to wake up but no routine to do. Trying to kill time by glancing at some articles, I watched the watch creep slowly. I walked down the street to give a second chance to time to run faster. The cold morning wind mercilessly pricked my spine. However I was awakened by the prick and still walked down the lane.
With a blank mind, I just moved on. An open book shelf where people can contribute books and anyone can take books too. I was surprised by seeing an open free library. What an idea! Being completely open may work with only some set of people – well, some may misuse the open book while some may truly benefit. Isn’t it the same with people? I smiled.

I walked further to see the bright smile of flowers – colourful and such a treat to the eyes! There was a young mother moving with a stroller. The baby with pink cheeks brightened my day – what a doll is she – I smiled.

As I further walked, there she is – an old tree who lost herself to the last autumn. She’s all tired that everything is taken and she lost her charm. There’s nothing she can offer now. She bent further more trying to touch the ground looking for a complete rest. She is no longer blossoming nor adding vibrancy. An old lady was walking below the tree moving away on the street. The tree and her; the flowers and the baby- my thoughts are deep – my eyes reacted to the cold wind and my heavy heart – wetting my cheeks!

A human life remains a mystery. The celebrated baby loses her charm with age. Colours are lost and there she stands alone as a tree that lost everything to age. No longer people want her as she touches the ground!
As I looked above, the clouds seemed fascinating. Different shapes, soft and spongy – the light shades of blue appeared fresh. The thicker shapes were huge and there it was – a thin stretch of clouds – like an ugly duckling. Grey was dull and yet she was trying to reach and spread her arms to the rest. As I watched closer, a subtle monster opened his wide mouth. It was the chimney. The chimney was bringing out the pollutants that appeared as close to the clouds.

The light blue smiles were mixing with the gloomy grey that the monster was slowly letting out. Unknowingly the sky got overwhelmed and seemed to accept. The grey monster slowly penetrates into the lovely blue to pollute her.
“Stop it” my mind voice. “What a life” either ways said makes two extremes. Happy or sad – choice is ours! The morning freshness of the flowers and the warmth of the baby was refreshing but the monster within me made me look at the falling tree as a failure – hence “what a life 😊” turned to “what a life 😔!”.
The chimney adds pollutants to the sky – so does our subtle monster within us adds negativity towards our lives. Look at the blue shades of the cloud moving up above the sky not touching the grey fumes – learn it too! Get away from the subtle negativity that slowly penetrates to kill you!
As I entered back my hotel, the open library reminded me – “yes, I’m open to help others. Using me or misusing me just shows who they are and nothing changes with me! The whole world may become dark and gloomy; I will still find the little light that penetrates and walk my path” I smiled reminding myself that I need to get to work!
